Ingredients
For pizza:
- 2 wheat tortillas;
- 6 slices of ham;
- 1 cup of grated cheese;
- ¼ of sweet pepper;
- a handful of cherry tomatoes;
- a handful of olives.
For sauce:
- a small bunch of fresh basil;
- small bundle of arugula;
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice;
- a pinch of salt.
Preparation
The star of this dish is not so much the base of tortilla, as a sauce, similar to the simplified version of pesto. Classic pesto is made from basil and is complemented with Parmesan and pine nuts. We have eliminated parmesan and nuts, but added a handca which will give pleasant bitterness.
Mix the greens of basil (green or purple) with arugula in equal proportions. Add a clove of garlic, salt and chop everything well to get the paste. Combine it with butter and lemon juice.
Instead of tortilla you can also use dense sheets of pita bread or pita. Nabolite cakes with a fork and send to the oven heated to 220 degrees for 2-3 minutes.
Spread the sauce over two buns and put any stuffing to taste, for example cheese, ham, cherry tomatoes and olives.
Return the cakes to the oven for another 8-10 minutes, until the cheese melts, and the edges of the base become ruddy and crispy.
If you decide to cook such a dish on the fire, then place the pizza over the cooling coals and loosely cover with foil. After 2-3 minutes you can start tasting.
