I’ve already gotten used to using iCloud as the main cloud storage. Service is not very functional, but I do not need much. The only thing I’m afraid of is the accidental deletion of files, since they are often stored there without copies in other places. It turns out that deleted files in iCloud Drive, including contacts and calendars, can be restored.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Open icloud.com.
- Log in to your account and go to iCloud Drive.
- Click on the name in the upper right corner and select “iCloud Settings”.
- At the bottom of the page there are three options: “Restore files”, “Restore contacts”, “Restore calendars and reminders”.
- Select the one you want, and then select the data that you want to restore.
To the right of the deleted files, the time remaining until they are permanently deleted is displayed. After this period, it will be impossible to restore the files. From which device the files were deleted, it does not matter – they will all be here. As for calendars and contacts, they are restored from the stored archives, which are automatically created at a certain interval.
