Apple provides access to its services and shops in many countries around the world, but their list, as well as the amount of content in each country is different. In Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries you can freely buy applications, movies and music, use the majority of Apple services, but not all. The Apple Apple ID still has advantages over the regional ones. In this article we will look at them, and also tell you how to get an American account for free and use your Apple-devices to the maximum.
What is US Apple ID for?
Of course, the most important advantage of the US account is access to the American App Store, in which applications and games appear earlier, and the range is wider, including exclusives unavailable in our country. In addition, there are also iTunes Radio and other music services like Spotify, Rdio, not working in the territory of the Russian Federation (the restriction can be circumvented through a proxy, but you can not do without applications, and they are only in the US App Store). Also here you can include the possibility of free installation of paid applications for the iPhone, iPad and Mac through the service FreeMyApps, working only with the American App Store.
As for the purchase of other digital content – for example, music and movies – then the state Apple ID will be worse, as the prices in it are higher than in the same Russian. Consider this if you buy content in the iTunes Store.
How to register US Apple ID
In registration, in fact, there is nothing complicated and it can be easily produced both from a computer and directly from an iOS device. Which way will be more convenient for you – choose yourself, we will tell about both.
Register an Apple ID from your computer
Open iTunes and exit from your existing account, if you have one.
Select the “Applications” category and go to the App Store section. Now scroll down to the very end and click on the checkbox.
We indicate the region of the USA. He is carefully located right before his eyes.
We look in the side menu to the right and find there any free application. Take for example YouTube.
On the application page, click the Get button.
In the pop-up window with the login and password, select the option “Create an Apple ID”.
On the invitation screen, click Continue.
Next, we accept the license agreement by ticking and pressing the Agree button.
Now you need to enter the required data:
- Email – it’s better not to use Russian domains, but to choose, for example, Gmail.
- Password – one capital letter and the number is now not enough, do not forget to put in your password some special symbol.
- Security Info – choose secret questions and indicate the answers to them (this is important, in the future they will be used to recover the password).
- Date of birth – the date of birth (better specify your own, so as not to forget, it is also used to recover the password).
We remove the checkmarks from the mailing lists if they are not needed and click the Continue button.
Specify the method of payment, in our case, select None.
Now you need to specify your first and last name, as well as the real US address and phone number. I recommend that you select the state of Florida, because it does not have a tax on purchases in the App Store (in some other states it is).
The easiest way is to use the address of a public institution or hotel, which is easy to find through Google Maps. We need:
- Street – street with the selected building, see screenshot.
- City is a city, in my example Orlando.
- State – I have FL – Florida.
- Zip Code – index, for Florida – 32830.
- Area code – city code, for Orlando – 321.
- Phone – phone number (we only need the last 7 digits).
It remains only to check the data and click the Create Apple ID button.
If everything is entered correctly, you will see a verification screen, which will change after confirmation of your email.
Check the box, which was specified during registration, he should receive an email from Apple with a link to activate the account. We pass on it.
Enter the Apple ID using your login and password.
Everything, your email is verified. Accept congratulations, now you have an American Apple ID!
Register an Apple ID from an iOS device
Getting an Apple ID with an iOS device is also easy, as with a computer. All steps are completely analogous.
Open the App Store and exit from your existing account. On the “Collection” tab, scroll to the bottom and click on the login to select “Exit”.
Now go to the search tab. Find any free application. I will use YouTube again.
Click the Get button. In the pop-up menu, select “Create Apple ID”.
Now you need to choose a country. The tick will already be in the United States. Accept the license agreement by clicking Agree.
Enter the registration data:
- Email – it’s better not to use Russian domains, but to choose, for example, Gmail.

Now you need to specify the date of birth. It’s better to put your own, not to forget, because it is also used to recover the password. In the Billing information section, select the payment method None and click Next.
Enter the real state address and phone number. We use Google Maps and find any hotel, better in Florida, because in this state there is no tax on purchases in the App Store. We need the following information:
- Street – street with the selected building.
- City is a city, in my example Orlando.
- State – I have FL – Florida.
- Zip Code – index, for Florida – 32830.
- Area code – city code, for Orlando – 321.
- Phone – phone number (note that the last 10 digits are needed here)
After that you will be on the verification screen. Now we check the mail and follow the link from the letter Apple to verify the email. That’s all. The download of our application will begin, which means the successful creation of Apple ID. Congratulations!
