Top 5 email clients for iOS

Despite the expansion of instant messengers, I always use mail. In it, both working questions are resolved, as well as some personal ones that do not require an immediate reaction. In the App Store, email applications are dark, but it’s difficult to dwell on one. Somewhere with the design screwed up, somewhere there is not enough needed functions.

My optimal set looks something like this:

  1. Modern minimalistic interface.
  2. Convenient work with several boxes.
  3. Timely notifications (hello, standard Mail).
  4. Multiplatformity.
  5. Different chips like the calendar and the task manager elements.

Rummaged in the App Store, I selected the top five, I think, the best email applications: Spark, CloudMagic, Airmail, Inbox, myMail. I’ll tell you what I liked and did not like, and at the end there will be a poll, and you will decide which email client is the best.

Spark

What do you like

  • It is difficult to find the right information when the tape is crammed with newsletters, receipts and simply unnecessary data. But in Spark there is a cool feature – Smart Inbox. A single hub that collects all letters and sorts them by type and importance. Extremely useful thing, it helps to quickly rip mail and find the right letter.
  • A set of five widgets great extends the capabilities of a postman. You can quickly navigate to the built-in calendar, attachments or deferred messages. Widgets are placed either on the top panel, or at the bottom, in the drop-down button.
  • Developers managed to make a minimalistic and yet flexible interface. On the main screen you can display widgets, change the side menu items and svaypy. Everything is configured completely: from notifications and badges to signatures and sounds. By customization Spark if not in the first place, then exactly in the top.
  • Spark supports most of the known services like Evernote, Pocket, “Google Drive” and so on. You can easily save a note to Pocket or send a document from Dropbox.

What’s not to like

  • By the minus I can relate only the lack of version for macOS and Android. But the mail client is developing rapidly: not so long ago, Spark became available to iPad owners and acquired Russian language. In addition, the developers have already shown a screenshot of the application for macOS, so it remains to wait for the release.

CloudMagic

What do you like

  • The application has a simple and concise interface, not overloaded with superfluous design delights. Each button in its place, boxes have their own color, which allows you to quickly figure out where the letter is and where to send it: to the archive or the basket.
  • Developers are interested in the integration with various services. They are represented by cards, which, firstly, looks great, and secondly, it is convenient. At the moment, the following services are supported: Evernote, Todoist, Pocket, Trello, OneNote, Zendesk, Salesforce, Asana and MailChimp. I actively use Trello, and the ability to directly save the necessary information from the mail to the board I really like. In addition, all popular cloud storage is supported, where without them?
  • The application is very fast and works with a dozen boxes without a hint of lags and brakes. As for me, this is the fastest mailer out there.
  • CloudMagic is available for all devices on iOS, Android and macOS. Also supported are Apple Watch and a watch on Android Wear. Just a masthead for those who have several devices on different platforms. The application for Mac still lags behind the functionality of its mobile version, but I think this will soon be corrected.

What’s not to like

  • For myself, I did not find any shortcomings. This is an excellent postman, which can be advised to all.

Airmail

What do you like

  • The title of the most customized mail client deservedly gets Airmail. Change the menu, tape, notifications the way you want. Every detail in the application is configured: in which browser to open links, which attachments to download automatically. The application can be adjusted to the maximum, so that it is convenient to work with the mail.
  • In the editor of the letter above the usual keyboard there is an additional row of buttons. With it, you can format a letter, create a numbered list, insert text or an image. It’s a great time saver.
  • If you use Airmail on a Mac, the mobile version is exactly your choice. When you first turn on, you will be offered to import accounts from the desktop Airmail, and you do not have to hammer anything manually.
  • In Airmail, the delayed reading function is great. You can fine-tune when you want to read the letter, and the settings are immediately synchronized with the desktop version.
  • The application supports all possible services, such diversity I have not seen in any postal service. And it is offered to download the necessary application right away and save the information there.

What’s not to like

  • This is the only paid mail client in the collection. And it costs a lot – 379 rubles. But we must understand that if you have 1-2 boxes and five letters a day, you do not need Airmail. This is a great tool with amazing functionality, but not for everyone. Airmail will be useful for those who constantly work with mail and have many boxes. Ordinary users will rather choose free analogs that are enough for their eyes.

Inbox

What do you like

  • In Inbox, sorting letters works very well. They are automatically divided into categories (“Promotions”, “Forums”, “Social networks” and so on), so the tape is always order. And thanks to the previews, you can see which letters have attachments and whether to open them.
  • Each letter is at the same time a task, which means that all To-do-manager tools are available. Moreover, you can create a reminder directly in the application, there is not enough unless the calendar.

What’s not to like

  • Inbox works only with Gmail accounts, so not everyone will be okay.
  • There is no single tape for all boxes, you have to constantly jump from one account to another.

myMail

What do you like

  • An omnivorous email client working with most email providers: My.com, Mail.Ru, Yandex, Google, Rambler, Exchange and Yahoo! It is convenient to keep several accounts here, without installing a separate application “Yandeks.Pochty” or Mail.Ru.
  • It looks fresh and tasteful. Management is mostly tied to svaypah, the interface is not overloaded with extra buttons. Works smartly and easily opens the heaviest letters. You can easily attach large files to 25 MB.

What’s not to like

Again, you can not see all the letters in one tape. If in Inbox this is somehow tolerable (it still works only with Gmail), then this is a big drawback.
