With the choice of avocados, there are almost always complexities, as it is difficult to determine exactly how good it will be, in terms of color and hardness of the fruit. Sometimes it happens that the upper layers are soft and tasty, but inside it is still a hard and tart core.
How to determine that the fruit you selected is the juice itself? Choose the ideal avocado for several features: softness, color and cuttings.
Light green color (1) says that the avocado is still green and will ripen on your windowsill in about five days. The fruit is very firm to the touch.
Moderate green color (2) says that the avocado can be eaten in three days. To the touch it still remains firm.
Avocado saturated green color (3) and slightly soft to the touch will be ready for use after 24 hours.
Dark green (close to brown) (4) and the soft fruit will be ready for use immediately after purchase.
If the avocado is very dark green color (5) and very soft to the touch, then you have a ripe product. If, of course, it’s not black avocado – California avocado, or haas. In this case, the black color of the fetus is natural.
Also it is worth paying attention to the cutting. If you have chosen a soft avocado, it is worth checking its condition under the handle. If it’s under a light yellow color, then you’ve made the right choice. If the color is dark brown, therefore, the avocado is ripe, it should not be taken.
