The 17TRACK web service was opened in July 2010, at the same time as AliExpress, from which, in fact, the Asian Internet shopping boom started. Year after year, the demand for cheap Chinese goods grew steadily, and after it the international audience of 17TRACK also increased. The service had to keep up with the wishes of its users: gradually improved mechanisms, increased stability and increased coverage of platforms. So, the mobile version of the site was released at the very beginning of 2013, and in October 2014 the first edition of the mobile application for the green robot appeared. True, it left much to be desired, so it was not among the five cool Android applications for tracking parcels, which I already recommended.
In this collection, my favorite was TrackChecker – an extremely popular and multifunctional solution from a Russian developer. The second place on the pedestal remains for the handsome AfterShip. But since then, two important events have occurred. First, TrackChecker began to show ads that you can not get rid of even for money (there is an opportunity to donate or close advertising every day). Secondly, the 17TRACK team did a good job and rolled out an updated, refreshed and prettier version of its application. And she deserves the most flattering words. It combines the best features of TrackChecker and the beautiful cover of AfterShip.
The advantages of 17TRACK:
- Convenient, modern and intuitive interface. They really enjoy using.
- Scanning by country of origin and country of receipt. A rare tracker can boast of such an opportunity.
- Tracking of items for 170 mail services. Maybe, this is not a record, but all the most urgent for us is covered.
- There is no advertising.
Cons 17TRACK:
- The autodetector of the receiving country does not always work. It happens rarely, but still. Easily added manually.
- Only one setting is to show notifications or not.
The last point could not be considered negative, if not for one thing: how to determine how often the application checks the status of the package? Options in the settings there, information in the help – too. But this is extremely important for a lot of particularly impatient citizens. ???? Utility 17TRACK for iOS came out in mid-2015, and it is no different from the current version for Android: everything is still beautiful and reliable.
There is also a universal program for Windows. But it is, to put it mildly, inferior to applications for mobile platforms.
Definitely recommend to try 17TRACK. It’s very, very likely that the application will become your main packet tracker. That’s exactly what happened.
