Many corporate e-mail services allow you to include requests for the fact that the recipient has read the message and returns the appropriate notification to the sender. Unfortunately, Gmail still does not include such a convenient default feature, but you can solve the problem with a special extension for Chrome.
MailTrack is a small and very simple extension for Chrome, adding to the Gmail interface the usual tidbits for modern messengers, indicating the successful delivery and reading of the letter.
The method used by MailTrack to obtain confirmation of the fact of reading is completely standard. The letter includes a tiny image, the reference to which is easy to track and report it to the sender. The method is bad in that it does not work in cases where the recipient’s mailer blocks the display of images in the body of the message.
In addition to the fact of reading, MailTrack determines the type of device from which the letter was first opened.
After installing the extension, an attentive user will notice that a small signature has started to appear in the sent letters, unobtrusively promoting MailTrack.
