What is the use of burdock oil?
Burdock oil is obtained from the roots of a large burdock (in the people – burdock). The root is ground and insists on olive, sunflower and other oils.
Burdock oil is actively used in cosmetology for skin care, nails and hair, because it is just a storehouse of useful substances:
- Vitamins A and E help fight dandruff and give hair shine. B vitamins improve growth.
- Inulin. Upon contact with the epidermis, it is used to cleanse the keratinized cells.
- Stearic and palmitic acids. Contribute to the production of elastin and collagen. This stimulates the regeneration of the scalp. These fatty acids are activators of hair growth.
- Protein. It nourishes the cortex, compacts the cuticle. Thanks to this, the hair looks smooth and shiny. Protein is indispensable in the fight with split ends.
The use of burdock oil is directly proportional to the concentration of the burdock extract in it. If the extract is sufficient, the oil can really help strengthen and nourish the hair follicles.
Pay attention to where the burdock extract is on the list of ingredients. If first there is olive oil or some other oil, then broth chamomile, vitamins and only then thistle, then the concentration of the main active substance is low.

How to apply burdock oil for hair
Burdock oil has no contraindications, except for individual intolerance. To identify allergies, apply it by the ear. If the skin does not turn red during the day and starts to itch, you can smear your head.
Burdock oil can be applied to both dry and damp hair. Preheat the oil to 30-40 degrees. Better on a water bath: in a microwave it can lose useful properties.
Apply the compound on the head. Massage the scalp and distribute the oil along the entire length of the hair (except for burdock oil with red pepper, it is applied only to the roots). For hair below the shoulders, usually about five tablespoons of the product are required.
Collect hair in a bun, put on a shower cap and wrap your head with a towel. Keep burdock oil on your hair for one and a half to two hours.
Rinse with hot water, chamomile infusion or a weak solution of apple cider vinegar (one tablespoon per liter of water). If the scalp and hair are prone to grease, wash with shampoo.
Dry hair without a hair dryer (if possible).
If the oil does not want to wash off, then you took it too much or unevenly distributed it. To solve a problem the beat up egg yolk will help: put it on hair and wash a head.
You can also get rid of the oil film using cornstarch. If the hair is up to the shoulders, then simply pour the strands to them, comb the powder with a comb and rinse. Long hair is better treated with starch, diluted in water to the state of gruel.

Buy a brush for eyelashes or use the grandmother method: use a tube from an old carcass or liner. Rinse out the dispenser, rinse the bottle and brush thoroughly. Using a syringe, refill the tube with burdock oil and return the dispenser to its place.
Take off makeup or just wipe eyelids with micellar water. It is better to spend the procedure in the evening. Some girls leave oil on all night, others prefer to keep it for one or two hours and wash before going to bed. They are afraid that the remedy will catch in your eyes (it will not hurt, but an unpleasant film is formed) or it will stain the bed linen.
Do not use lavender oil with pepper and other burning additives for eyelashes and eyebrows!
If you have a brush from the liner, apply the oil on the upper mobile eyelid near the line of growth of the eyelashes, and also on the eyebrows. Using a brush from the carcass, comb the eyelashes and eyebrows from the middle to the tips. Remove excess oil with a cotton pad.
