INFOGRAPHIC: The daily routine of great people

For all people, the number of hours in a day is the same.

However, if you look at the achievements of the best representatives of humanity – great scientists, writers, creators, it seems that this is not quite so. In their lifetime, they are in time much more than others. Excellent education, several foreign languages, travel, a huge creative heritage, which descendants do not cease to disassemble tens or even hundreds of years – how do they manage it all?

Perhaps the recent book will tell you the answer Daily Rituals: How Artists Work, in which the daily life of the greatest people of the past is studied. And we want you to present the infographics from this publication, which clearly represents the basic information on the daily routine of Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Mozart, Victor Hugo, Charles Darwin, Benjamin Franklin and others.

Of course, the habits of people change throughout life, so in infographics data are given only for a certain period (indicated in the upper right corner), usually corresponding to the peak of creative activity and productivity. If in the testimonies of contemporaries or biographers there were references to any unusual habit, then this too was reflected. For example, Beethoven every morning drank a cup of coffee, carefully counting exactly 60 grains.

Do you think that your morning is too stressful? Then look at Hugo, who woke up from a gun shot from a nearby fort, and then poured ice water from the barrel. Or Balzac, who was so fond of coffee that he drank up to 50 cups a day (we do not recommend you use this as an example).
