4 desserts with chia seeds: orange, berry, coffee and apple with cinnamon

Recipe № 1. Orange

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 1 cup of vegetable milk to choose from;
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice;
  • orange peel 1;
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey;
  • ¼ cup chia seeds;
  • nuts, coconut chips, any frozen berries and pieces of oranges for decoration.


Mix milk, orange juice, orange peel and honey or maple syrup. Add chia seeds and mix well. Spread on cups or kremankam, give to stand literally 5 minutes, again mix well and send to the refrigerator for several hours or at night. Before serving, sprinkle with nuts, coconut shavings, pieces of oranges and berries (optional).

Recipe № 2. Apple with cinnamon

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 2 cup unsweetened vegetable milk;
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract or a pinch of vanillin;
  • ⅔ cups of chia seeds;
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut chips;
  • 2 apples, peeled and sliced ​​into thin slices;
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon.


This pudding is served warm. To make it, pour the milk with vanilla extract into a saucepan and heat it over a small fire for 2-3 minutes. It should not be hot, just warm. Spread the seeds of chia in a deep plate and pour the seeds with milk. Stir continuously for about two minutes, until the chia seeds absorb the milk. Then leave for 5 minutes, add on top apples, coconut shavings and cinnamon and serve to the table. If you do not want a warm pudding, then milk does not have to be heated at all. Just do the same thing, but with milk at room temperature. You can also add some honey.

Recipe No. 3. Coffee

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

  • 1½ cups of cooked coffee (can be decaffeinated);
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa;
  • ½ cup of coconut milk;
  • 1¼ cup almond milk;
  • ¼ cup of honey;
  • 1 cup chia seeds;
  • 2 measuring spoons of chocolate protein powder (optional).


Just mix all the ingredients in a bowl, pour on cups or kremankami and send to the refrigerator for 4-6 hours.

Recipe number 4. Berry

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 1 cup of coconut milk;
  • ½ cup of frozen or fresh berries;
  • ¼ cup chia seeds;
  • honey to taste.


Shake the blender together coconut milk, honey and berries. Spread on glasses, add chia seeds, mix well and send to the refrigerator for several hours or at night.

Personal observations

To be honest, I did not expect that it would be so delicious. The consistency of such a dessert is somewhat like passion fruit, only it is thicker and with smaller and soft seeds. My favorite of these four options is coffee, but I did not add chocolate protein powder there. I think that with him it would be even more delicious. Apple was in last place.

During cooking I used milk from walnuts, and instead of coconut milk there were coconut cream. They are much thicker than coconut milk, and the pudding gets thicker. If that suits you well, but if you want to make the dessert more liquid, then you need to either add a little less chia seeds, or use less coconut cream and more vegetable milk.

For berry pudding I chose blueberries, and during the preparation of desserts I managed without coconut chips, as I do not really like it.

Another point that I would like to stop: be sure to mix the seeds both during pouring with their liquid, and after they stand for about 5 minutes, before going to the refrigerator. If you do not mix, get a pudding with lumps.
