In one of the posts we have already reviewed the mobile application Runtastic Altimetr Pro. And this time I want to share my impressions of the application for running Runtastic Pro.

Runtastic is another mobile application for running. I just started testing, so I can not say what the error is in the distance (and if there is any at all) and how often the GPS signal is lost (with Nike + and Runkeeper the malfunctions happened with an annoying frequency). But I liked the first run for a pleasant female voice with a British accent.

Functions

In order to start training, you register via e-mail, Facebook or enter your login and password. Then choose a metric system, enter your age, weight and height. After that, the application is ready to work.

In principle, there are a lot of common functions in this Runtastic that are available in almost every program for running. This is a voice alert every kilometer about the distance traveled, the calories burned, the time, the speed for this segment and the total speed (km / h). You can choose a male or female voice in English, German, French or Italian.

If you run with a heart rate monitor, your heartbeat data will also be displayed on the main screen, and then you can see the graph of the rhythm of your heart. In the settings you can choose which data should be reported to you during the run.

Also in the application there is a choice of playlist, the ability to take photos with geomemarks while jogging; auto-pause in case you loose your shoelaces or the red light turns on at the traffic light; the function of encouraging friends on the net and the voice of your personal trainer, who will support you during training.

In addition to all this, you can choose not just a run, and organize a mini-competition or choose to achieve the goal. For example, run a certain distance or develop the desired speed, or burn a certain number of calories. Also there are plans for training for beginners who want to lose weight, run 10 m, half marathon and marathon. And in the section “Workouts” you can choose your interval training – half marathon, 20 minute training, hour training or create your own.

Do you want to run for a while? Then choose the options: 5 km in 30 minutes, 10 km in 60 minutes, 5 km in 25 minutes, 10 km in 50 minutes or, again, you can choose for yourself a challenge. The same goes for training for distance or burning calories.

In the final charts and tables, you can see how your speed has changed for each kilometer passed. Speed ​​charts (average km / h and km / s) with time and terrain display (ups and downs), and a graph of the frequency of your heart rate.

And the application also has a weather forecast that tracks weather conditions during your jogging and records them.

After the end of the workout, the application offers to synchronize with the site and share data on Facebook and Twitter. You can track the statistics of your workouts and see your progress for certain periods of time (week, month, year).

As you can see, there are a lot of functions. Perhaps I missed something. In a simplified version of Runtastic there are fewer functions, but it is quite suitable for testing an application and adding its own representation about it. After which you can already decide whether or not to buy the pro version.
