If you downloaded Office 2013 for free from the Microsoft website, you received a 30-day test of their product as a gift. Then the company wants you to pay them some money. We need to do this and this is correct. But you can legally extend the trial period for another 180 days. Half a year of generosity from Microsoft – how can this be ignored by fans of licensed products?
You can use tons of left software for such an extension – but they either break the product, which is not beautiful and does not last long, or do obvious things that can be done with the hands for about 30 seconds. Other such tools often attach viruses to you or drag out personal data. What is also a questionable exchange.
So, to extend the trial period of the office you need:
- Open the folder C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Microsoft Shared \, if you have 32-bit Windows, or C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ Microsoft Shared \, if Windows 64-bit;
- While holding down the Shift key, right-click on the OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform folder and select ‘Open command window here’;
- Type and execute the command OSPPREARM.EXE
READY! So you added another 30 days to the current trial period. This can be repeated six times. Thus it turns out to use the half year of the office for free and legal.
