Nutritional habits are laid down from childhood. If you were fed at a young age and taught to overeat, then to start eating right is not an easy task. It’s good that now there are many delivery services for ready-made healthy food on the market. In this article I will tell you how I managed to lose weight with their help, and compare the different nutrition programs.
As a child, I was a full child, then at age 18 I stopped eating fatty, sweet and floury and easily lost weight to 50 kg. But then to 27 years because of a sedentary way of life and frequent business trips I gained weight, and at the end of last year the scales showed me 56 kg. Then I realized that I had to change something, for example, to choose a suitable food system and strictly adhere to it. I did not have time and opportunity to prepare useful food, so I went to look for companies that deliver ready-made healthy meals.
I tested four delivery services for healthy food in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Programs in them are designed for five meals: breakfast, lunch, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and a second dinner.
And now let’s take a closer look at each service separately: what you liked, what you did not like and why.
Eat2Fit

About this service, I found out in 2015, then it was indecently expensive: a trial day cost 4 500 rubles. I really wanted to try it, but the food at the price of the wing of the plane did not fit into the budget.
In 2017, I gave Eat2Fit a second chance. At that time, the service reviewed the cost of long-term nutrition programs. An additional argument for choosing in his favor was the fact that all programs are developed by professional nutritionists.
I decided on a trial day and photographed for memory what I was brought.
What I liked:
1. Very delicious second breakfast: curd tartlet with hazelnut and raisins.
2. Beef stroganoff from beef with couscous was also excellent.
Cod with asparagus and Napoli sauce was very tender and juicy.
4. In Eat2Fit, tea, chewing gum, wet wipes and bottled water were added to each serving. Other services either did not offer such a bonus, or asked for a surcharge.
What did not like:
1. The porridge for breakfast was like a tasteless substance. And in spring rolls with cottage cheese and apple I almost did not find cottage cheese. Hence the question: where is my source of protein, which is necessary, so that when losing weight, I do not lose muscle?
2. Fresh fruits were brought to the snack. This is very tough, because the appetite intensifies from the thermally unprocessed fruit.
3. For dinner, I was waiting for the sour mors, which I poured into the sink. Still, it was worth adding a little sugar.
In general, I liked the food, but I decided to test other services to compare and find the best one.
Smart Food

Service delivery of healthy food comes from Yekaterinburg. The company is initially an IT project and has nothing to do with dietetics, a healthy lifestyle and a medical approach to nutrition. When she started working in St. Petersburg, I immediately decided to try. For a start, I took not a correction, but a usual daily diet to test different programs.
For breakfast we brought an omelette with cheese and tomatoes. By its stiffness, he was more like a sole than an omelette – he had to knife him for a long time.
At the second breakfast I got an inedible granola with a terribly sour yoghurt.
For dinner, it was suggested to try salad with baked beets, onions and feta cheese, for the second – eel with teriyaki sauce, and on the side dish was stewed rice with vegetables. As a first dish, I waited for a thick carrot soup with ricotta. Eel and soup I liked, but the rice was dryish, the salad was pretty mediocre.
For a snack I was waiting for a very tasty and hearty fruit smoothie with ricotta cheese.
The dinner seemed strange. Salad with bezreola, pear and pomegranate is not an easy meal. In addition, dried meat is a difficult product for digestion. But in general, the salad was pleasant.
Eat4Health

The company has recently appeared on the St. Petersburg market. On the site, she suggests leaving contacts for a connection with the nutritionist, so that he helps to calculate the calorific value. But information about who their dietician and what his education is, that is doubtful. However, we must pay tribute: in the menu, which was brought along with the daily diet, there was a layout for BZHU.
In general, Eat4Health reminded the restaurant food of medium quality, where you will not be fed with scallops or molecular cuisine, but the portion will bring a tasty and large portion. And this always captivates my heart!
What I liked:
1. Eating a lot, but most importantly, it is not just edible, but really delicious.
2. Cheesecakes were delicious. Of course, not dietary, but the same as in childhood!
3. Udon with shrimps brought just a bomb. All I love: macaroni is more, seafood, a lot of butter. Mmm!
4. Pancakes with chocolate turned out to be very even, although a little bit rubber.
What did not like:
1. Fresh cereal for breakfast. I improved her taste by adding jam from the refrigerator.
2. The turkey was dry, only ketchup saved it.
As a result, it is a very edible food, which, most likely, has a weak relation to a healthy diet from the point of view of a nutritionist. It will suit someone who is tired of eating frost and dumplings and can afford to spend on food about 60-70 thousand a month.
Batch

I decided to start with business lunches and complemented them with breakfast. As I found out later, this format is designed for 2,000 kcal per day, which was contrary to my goal to lose weight. In addition, I ate this food only on weekdays, and on weekends visited restaurants and did not limit myself.
After a couple of weeks, I realized that this is inefficient, and switched to a full-fledged diet. In the first week I ate according to a program designed for 1,600 calories per day, a week later – 1,400 calories and after a week started consuming 1,200 calories.
The cost of food a month rose to 80,000 rubles (now 100,000), but I stopped going to restaurants, where I left a solid part of the budget.
So, what did I eat?
For breakfast, most often porridge. Sometimes there were multi-cereal fritters or pancakes with curd filling. Also to the porridge always served something protein, for example dishes of eggs or cottage cheese. Always was fresh.
For the second breakfast is always dessert. Baking can be done several times a month, and I always look forward to it.
For lunch, always three dishes: salad, soup, the second and a drink (mors or compote). Of all that I ate, I liked most of all pasta and risotto with seafood, as well as chicken and turkey su-kind – very juicy and tasty.
For a snack you are waiting for something easy from fruit and cottage cheese, sometimes bring desserts from yogurt or just yogurt.
Dinner usually consists of fish and heat-treated vegetables. Sometimes there are meatballs made of veal or venison.
The second dinner – kefir, fermented baked milk or yoghurt.
What did not like:
- Omelets with fresh vegetables.
- I never liked salads with celery.
- Lasagna is meat or fish. Those who ate real lasagna bolognese in Italy, this dietary option is definitely not very fond of.
- Some desserts on a yoghurt basis are very boring, and you want something else.
After switching to a mode of 1200 kcal per day, I did not notice any special changes and results, although I honestly ate only Porcion. Then I signed up for a diet with this service. She, by the way, praised me for a smooth transition to a lower calorie content. Because with this approach, my body did not feel the stress of reducing calories, and therefore did not oppose the process of losing weight.
On reception at the dietician I have learned or have found out many other interesting and not obvious moments:
- Between meals, there should be an interval of 2.5-3 hours. And I did a big break (5 hours) between lunch and dinner, because I could not eat dinner earlier because of work.
- The sequence of dishes matters. I could at the beginning of the day eat the most delicious, for example, an afternoon snack, or change the lunch and dinner in places, and to score on the salad, but you can not do this, even if you maintain a limit of 1,200 kcal per day. The daily ration is designed in such a way as to trigger fat burning processes in the body precisely in the combination in which it is made up.
- If you want to be ahead of time, then first drink water, and if it does not help – go in search of a healthy meal.
Consultations with a nutritionist and following the correct diet have yielded results: I lost 3 kg in two months and climbed into school jeans.
But, besides this, I still practice equestrian sports three times a week. This is not a crossfit or cardio training, so let us conventionally consider equestrian sport for little physical activity, which also played some role.
In the dry residue
If you want to get healthier or lose weight by proper nutrition, then choose the services, the menu of which is developed by a professional dietician. Then you will not worry about the caloric content and balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates and will be able to take advice from a nutritionist who will pick up the optimal diet for you.
Pay attention to the packaging and delivery of food: if it is brought in the summer in a package, some of the ingredients may not survive until you meet your refrigerator. Therefore, I advise you to choose the services that deliver portions in the refrigerator bag.
