Pros and cons of safety glass
The protective glass is several times harder than the strongest film, and therefore it saves the device not only from scratches. As the manufacturers say, it can withstand even a hammer blow. We do not recommend conducting such experiments. But we can say: when falling, it is more likely that the protective glass, rather than the screen of the device, will break.
In this case, the glass does not affect the sensitivity of the sensor and the brightness of the image.
However, glass is more expensive than film. And you can choose it only for relatively popular models of smartphones and tablets.
How to paste a protective glass
Step 1. Prepare the room
If the dust gets under the protective glass, you have to live with bubbles on the gadget’s screen or poke around with their removal. To avoid this, do a wet cleaning in the room or at least:
- Ventilate the room.
- Clean the rag, preferably with a detergent, wipe the table on which you are going to glue the protective glass.
- Wash your hands.
Step 2. Prepare the tools
In addition to the device and protective glass, you will need:
- Liquid for cleaning displays, antistatic or ordinary alcohol.
- A cloth made of microfiber.
- Stationery scotch.
- Scissors.
- Plastic card or scraper.
Step 3. Degrease the screen surface
To do this, use a liquid for cleaning the displays, antistatic or alcohol. Carefully remove all specks. If you just removed the old film from the phone, wipe off any remaining glue. After dry, wipe the screen with a microfiber.
Step 4. Glue the glass
Pick up the protective glass. On the one hand it is covered with a film, it needs to be removed. Now the glass should be kept around the edges so as not to leave fingerprints on the surface.
Carefully, without touching the screen, place the glass in 5-10 mm from the smartphone. Align the glass so that the speakers and buttons are under the corresponding holes.
The most exciting moment has come. When the glass is perfectly aligned at the edges, simply lower it to the screen. Thanks to the adhesive inner coating it will be fixed independently.
Bubbles, if such appeared, remove with a napkin from microfiber. Wipe the screen from the center to the edges, expelling excess air.
Step 5. Remove the missing dust particles
Perhaps some dust particles still fell under the glass and left an additional bubble on the screen. Unfortunately, the microfiber can not be removed. You have to re-raise the protective coating.
This can be done with a plastic card or scraper. In addition, we will need a strip of office scotch tape. It is better to take a transparent adhesive tape: white scotch tape or colored varieties will leave traces on the screen.
Pick up the edge of the glass, raise it so that you can get a speck of dust. Now paste a piece of scotch on it and cut it off sharply together with the garbage. All. It remains only to return the protective glass in place.
