Gymnastics for varicose veins: what can and can not be done

With varicose veins of the lower extremities, the superficial veins are enlarged, the functioning of the valves and the flow of blood are impaired. Legs ache, swell in the evening, at night there are cramps. The skin of the legs turns dark, there are vascular sprouts and protruding veins, seals and trophic ulcers.

The causes of varicose veins vary: hereditary predisposition, lack of prevention and timely treatment, insufficient physical activity, prolonged wearing of tight shoes, excess weight, pregnancy and much more.

What exercises are prohibited in varicose veins

Unfortunately, with varicose veins, very many popular exercises and types of training are banned. It is not recommended to run, jump, including rope, actively crouch, engage in step and classical aerobics.

Also, exclude exercises that are performed sitting on a chair, power presses and exercises with a barbell and dumbbells – everything that gives an excessive burden on the legs.

How to deal properly

Dosed physical exercises in combination with massage, water and medical procedures activate the blood supply of the lower extremities.

This complex can be performed several times a day. Smoothly and accurately do 4-5 repetitions of each exercise. Gradually, the number of repetitions can be increased to 10.

  1. Pull the socks on yourself and then away from yourself.
  2. Turn left and right.
  3. Make a circular motion with your feet.
  4. Do all the familiar “bike” or “scissors”.
  5. Make the rolls from the toe to the heel.
  6. Lie on your stomach and lift your straight legs. You can alternately or both.
  7. Complete the complex with a small stretch. Do it neatly, effortlessly.
