Why we grow
Man grows by increasing the length of bones. And this process continues until the zones of bone growth are completely closed – the cartilaginous zones in the spine and on the ends of the tubular bones. While on these sites there is a coarse tissue, it is possible to significantly increase the length of the body under the influence of growth hormones. When the cartilage zones ossify with age, it will prevent further growth.
It turns out that the growth due to the elongation of bones after 25 years will not work, except with the help of surgical intervention. But it is possible to “stretch” your body by a few additional centimeters. And it’s not too difficult.
How to increase the growth
This can be achieved by stretching the intervertebral discs. The whole point is that the human spine consists of 24 vertebrae, sacrum and coccyx. Between the vertebrae are intervertebral disks, which absorb and absorb the load and provide flexibility of the spine due to the fact that they consist of a cartilaginous tissue. And if this cartilage, it can be stretched, which will lead to an increase in the length of the trunk.
In fact, most people are 2-6 cm (and even more) below their maximum possible growth. The reason for this is the spongy nature of the intervertebral discs, which are compressed by gravity and high pressure, which can be caused, for example, by poor posture, lifting weights above the head.
Therefore, even if you regularly engage in stretching exercises, your growth will not remain constant unless you correct your posture, stop lifting weights over your head and strengthen your torso muscles.
How much can you add in growth
Let’s count. There are 23 intervertebral discs in the spine. If you stretch each of them by only 3 mm, then in total you can add about 7 cm in height. Not bad, is it?
There is a case where one circus artist could grow on the stage for as much as 16 cm only by stretching the spine.
What exercises increase growth
There are a lot of different exercises for stretching the spine, I will highlight only a few of the simplest and most effective. They will be enough to start.

Perhaps this is the simplest of all exercises. You only need to hang on the bar and stay in this position for 15-30 seconds. The rest of the work for you will make the power of attraction. It is recommended to practice 2-3 daily.
