Displaying and sorting bookmarks
The developers of Bookmark OS have done a good job of making it easy for you to view even a large collection of bookmarks and quickly find the necessary elements in it. To do this, the service offers several modes of displaying links and allows them to be grouped using labels and folders.
The OS OS interface is divided into two parts. In the left there is a list of labels and a folder tree. Clicking on any of them, you will see all the relevant tabs in the right part of the window with visual icons in the form of screenshots. Thanks to the buttons on the toolbar, you can sort the links by date, name, domain and other attributes. Other buttons allow you to change the display mode of bookmarks: list or tile.
Of course, it is possible to search by the names of links and folders.
Adding and editing
Add web pages to bookmarks using the browser extension or bookmarklet – a special button that is placed on the browser panel. You can also create separate bookmarklets for selected folders so that the service sends links directly to them and does not ask each time for a save path. In addition, the Bookmark OS has functions for exporting and importing bookmarks from browsers.
Separate attention deserves the ability to edit the added bookmarks and folders. You can select one or more items with the mouse, and then drag them to the desired folder or delete – just like in Windows. But it’s worth mentioning that in the mobile version of Bookmark OS, there is no group editing.
Smart recommendations and other features
Bookmark OS uses machine learning and natural language processing algorithms to make the addition of bookmarks even easier. When you save the next web page, the system analyzes your folders, chooses the most suitable one from them and suggests placing a new bookmark there.
The service sometimes makes mistakes, but in most cases recommends suitable folders, which eliminates the need to specify the path of saving manually.
The button to undo the last action taken can repeatedly save your data at the right time.
While developers have not made applications for mobile platforms, but the web version of Bookmark OS adapts to any screen size. The system synchronizes bookmarks between different devices through the cloud, so that your links will always be at hand.
In addition, you can open access to selected folders for your friends. This will allow you to work together on common links.
Bookmark OS is available for free. But by subscribing for $ 12 a year, you unlock additional display settings, the ability to add subfolders, automatically create screenshots for imported bookmarks and other paid features.
