The fact that the iPhone can take screenshots, by clicking Power + Home, everyone knows. And we all use this periodically. But what if the screenshot is not enough? Perhaps you want to show your friend how to use the application or want to brag about their achievements in the game. Anyway, from time to time, we have situations where you need to record some action that occurs on the screen of the iPhone or iPad.
Now I will tell you how to do this using Reflector for OS X.

This application, in fact, makes your Mac compatible AirPlay device. Using Reflector on your computer, you can mirror the iPhone desktop, like on an Apple TV. Thanks to the built-in recording function, we can easily save what happens on the iOS device’s sprint board to a video file. And this is how it is done.

Download the trial version, because the full cost is $ 13 and it’s better to try to justify whether the application will cost. After installation, we launch Reflector and take up your i-device. We call the multitasking panel, by pressing the Home button twice, we do the svayp to the right and click on the AirPlay icon. Right after that you will see your Mac in the list of compatible devices – we connect and activate Mirroring for mirroring the i-device to the computer.

All – now you should see the iPhone screen on your computer desktop. Important point, both devices must be in the same WiFi network (this is a prerequisite for the operation of AirPlay).

Before you press “Record”, you can select the frame that will be displayed around the frame. It can be iPhone, iPad of any colors and modifications. Have you chosen? Press Cmd + R or Start Recording in the Reflector menu. Now everything that happens on the iPhone screen will be recorded on video, including notification banners. To avoid this, I advise you to enable Do Not Disturb.

reflectorTo stop recording, press Cmd + R again or select Stop Recording. Reflector will process the video and prompt you for the location of the save, select the folder we need and save the resulting file.

That’s all. The application copes with its responsibilities, and does it perfectly. Its only drawback is the price. Although, if you do not capture the iPhone screen for entertainment, $ 13 per working tool is a perfectly justified purchase.
